About the Role

Hyundai Motor Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Material Management to lead critical supply chain operations. This full-time position is based in King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, focusing on the comprehensive management of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) materials.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing CKD material ordering, inbound and outbound logistics, and inventory management. This role is pivotal in supporting production line materials through effective communication and collaboration with production logistics contractors, ensuring operational efficiency and continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the CKD material ordering process, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term vehicle production plans.
• Prevent production line stoppages by synchronizing parts procurement and assembly schedules.
• Accurately calculate material requirements based on weekly production plans and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Determine optimal ordering timing by factoring in international and domestic logistics, alongside customs clearance lead times.
• Operate safety stock for key parts to minimize logistics delay risks.
• Maintain an optimal inventory balance, aiming to minimize holding costs while ensuring 100% parts availability.
• Optimize warehouse operations to ensure timely and sequential material supply to the production line.
• Implement differentiated inventory management strategies by classifying materials into grades (*, A: high value, B: medium value, C: low value).
• Forecast future material requirements to establish proactive capacity planning and support long-term procurement.
• Manage obsolete inventory resulting from design changes (EO) or model year (MY) changes.
• Review obsolete parts for potential reutilization as After-Sales (AS) parts, training units, or for other vehicle models.
• Establish transparent processes for the physical disposal and accounting treatment of unusable inventory.
• Ensure an accident-free working environment throughout warehouse and logistics operations.
• Adhere to strict safety rules, including forklift operation, pedestrian path securing, and high-rack inspection.
• Conduct regular fire drills and maintain facility disaster recovery protocols.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in material management, logistics, or supply chain operations, ideally within a manufacturing environment involving CKD processes. The salary for this position will be disclosed during the interview process.
