About the Role

Prolific is seeking fluent Arabic speakers with knowledge of Saudi Arabian dialects to participate in AI training initiatives. This contract role is based in Medina and involves evaluating AI models to ensure they communicate with human-like nuance and cultural authenticity.

Role Overview

AI models are being developed to understand and generate human language. Your role as an evaluator will be crucial in ensuring these models accurately comprehend the depth and nuances of the Arabic language, particularly within Saudi Arabian contexts. This involves assessing the naturalness and authenticity of AI-generated text and voice snippets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct side-by-side evaluations of text and voice snippets to assess AI performance.
• Evaluate how naturally and authentically AI models capture Arabic speech patterns.
• Listen to audio clips and rate the naturalness of AI-generated voices.
• Identify instances where AI tone or pronunciation may seem unnatural or culturally mismatched.
• Review AI-generated content for intonation that aligns with cultural context.
• Provide feedback on the naturalness, tone, and authenticity of audio data.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Fluent Arabic speaker with a strong command of natural, everyday Arabic.
• Knowledge of Arabic dialects common in Saudi Arabia.
• Ability to distinguish subtle differences in accent, tone, and vocal delivery.
• Fluent English skills for understanding instructions and reporting.
• High attention to detail.
• Access to a quiet environment and good quality headphones/speakers.
• A PayPal account for receiving payments.

Work Details

This is a contract position located in Medina. The pay rate is $20-26 per hour. Backgrounds in linguistics or translation are considered a plus.
