Attendant Laundry

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Attendant Laundry to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the efficient and meticulous handling of laundry operations within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including the addition of chemicals and cleaning of lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from washing, drying, or dry-cleaning machines and place them into clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on the fabric types in each load.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles to designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.

• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and recommending improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Additional Duties

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the laundry department.
