QA/QC Engineer

About the Role

TIBAH Airports (Madinah) is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah Province. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring that all project activities, materials, and deliverables consistently meet applicable quality standards, specifications, codes, and contractual requirements. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting thorough inspections and audits, and driving continuous improvement across all phases of assigned projects. This involves a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards from material receipt through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
• Prepare and update Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, and method statements.
• Conduct site and factory inspections at key stages, including material receipt, in-process, and final inspection, to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and subcontractor quality documentation.
• Witness and coordinate third-party inspections, testing, and certifications as required.
• Identify non-conformances, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through to closure.
• Conduct internal audits and support external/client audits, preparing audit reports and following up on findings.
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, and traceability documentation.
• Liaise with project management, engineering, procurement, and site teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Support root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry codes (*, ASME, ASTM, API, BS, EN), and statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Conduct training and toolbox talks to promote quality awareness among site and production personnel.
• Compile quality metrics/KPIs and prepare periodic quality performance reports for management.

Experience and Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in a QA/QC engineering role.
• Demonstrated understanding of quality management systems and industry standards.
• Proficiency in conducting inspections, audits, and managing non-conformances.
