Storekeeper

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing merchandise receipt, storage, and distribution within the facility, with a strong emphasis on maintaining inventory accuracy and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items appropriately for placement.
• Deliver merchandise to the correct departments and stack received goods on pallets or carts.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels in a timely manner.
• Receive deliveries, ensure proper storage of perishables, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Inspect deliveries, verifying freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality of items, and refuse damaged or incorrect goods.
• Adhere to all food safety and handling policies and procedures across food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate with guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and stairs/service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have 0-1 year of relevant experience. The role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures and the ability to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
