Area Manager

About the Role

Al-Futtaim is seeking an Area Manager to oversee administration functions across multiple stores in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting store management, and contributing to operational excellence. The Area Manager will play a key role in system development, policy implementation, and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor administration office activities across all locations to ensure adherence to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support store management teams by providing training on store operating systems to minimize discrepancies.
• Assist with investigations and reporting of till discrepancies to the General Manager.
• Ensure stock takes and physical inventory counts are conducted according to SOPs and provide assistance with investigations as required.
• Develop and implement store procedures in collaboration with the regional office and Retail Compliance Manager.
• Review and amend SOPs based on business requirements and internal audit findings.
• Develop and provide training on procedures for new territories, ensuring alignment with group and local legislation.
• Review internal audit reports and support store managers in implementing corrective actions.

System Development and Optimization

• Maintain and develop system processes related to store operating systems.
• Collaborate with the Retail IT Manager to enhance operational efficiencies and meet customer expectations.
• Optimize the benefits of SAP and ensure efficient system operations.
• Serve as the primary contact for store and operation system-related issues.

Business and Process Development

• Support the Operations Manager with requirements for new store openings.
• Identify and arrange IT requirements for the Administration function of each store.
• Train new hires and existing employees on operational processes and SOPs to ensure operational performance.
• Continuously review local consumables to align stores with budget parameters.
• Monitor efficient archiving practices in accordance with Group Internal Audit guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Security standards to minimize business risk.
• Assist with ARIBA purchasing requirements to achieve cost savings and streamlined communication.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The position requires a professional who can effectively manage administrative functions, enforce compliance, and support operational excellence across multiple retail locations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, covering stores in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves working closely with store management teams, regional offices, and various internal departments to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
