About the Role
AlBalad AlAmeen for Development and Urban Regeneration is seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a part-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience. The specialist will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts and agreements to ensure legal compliance, protect organizational interests, and support effective contract lifecycle administration. The role ensures all contractual arrangements adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and amend contracts, agreements, and related addendums using approved templates.
- Ensure contractual terms are clear, comprehensive, and enforceable.
- Align contractual documents with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational requirements.
- Review contracts received from various business units and investments prior to approval.
- Identify potential legal and contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure the inclusion of essential contractual provisions, including dispute resolution, confidentiality, liabilities, and penalties.
- Coordinate contract approval and execution processes with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor contractual obligations and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and deliverables.
- Work closely with internal departments to address contractual issues, disputes, or performance concerns.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records of contracts and agreements.
- Update contract registers, including expiration and renewal dates.
- Ensure contracts are readily accessible for reference and audit purposes.
- Adhere to contract management policies, governance frameworks, and approved procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Report potential contractual risks, non-compliance issues, or governance concerns.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of contracts and agreements.
- Provide reports on contractual risks, legal observations, and compliance findings.
- Generate periodic reports on expiring and renewable contracts.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in contract management or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of legal compliance and contractual risk mitigation.
