Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Salamatic Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering activities for Power and Low Current systems. This full-time, on-site position is based in Makkah or Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The role involves coordinating with project teams, ensuring compliance with codes, and providing technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks, from technical documentation to on-site coordination and troubleshooting. This includes ensuring all electrical work adheres to international and local standards.

• Review electrical drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and review shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Review and validate electrical calculations, including for cable trays.
• Coordinate with site and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with international and local codes such as NEC, IEC, SBC, NFPA, and Civil Defense regulations.
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Maintain project logs, reports, and other technical documentation.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning for low current systems.
• Coordinate integration between various systems, including BMS, CCTV, access control, and nurse call.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and site engineers to ensure project timelines and execution standards are met.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in electrical engineering with specific experience in power and low current systems. The role requires a professional who can manage technical aspects while collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead electrical engineering activities.
• Proficiency in reviewing electrical calculations and technical documentation.
• Experience with site inspections and troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Makkah or Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working closely with project teams, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
