The Role: Testing and Commissioning Engineer

Siemens is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join the Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation division. This full-time position is based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah and requiring travel across the Kingdom for commissioning activities. The role involves contributing to solutions that enhance infrastructure and support a smarter future.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and parameterizing substation control and monitoring systems.
• Parameterizing Human Machine Interface (HMI) / SCADA systems.
• Parameterizing BCU and digital protection relays for Medium and High Voltage IEDs.
• Commissioning substation control and monitoring systems, including conducting functional performance, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with witnesses.
• Preparing technical reports and documentation of results, including panel drawings, test protocols, and SCADA Point list/Module data checklists.
• Reporting project progress to technical project management.
• Ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
• Staying updated with end-user technical standards and regulations.
• Working collaboratively within a team environment and sharing knowledge.
• Implementing cybersecurity measures in automation systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in substation automation and control systems.
• Ability to travel across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for commissioning activities.
