About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Attendant Shipping & Receiving to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves managing the flow of incoming and outgoing packages and freight, ensuring accuracy and security within the receiving operations. The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process deliveries, accounting for incoming freight based on invoices and receiving reports.
• Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for facility placement, and deliver to the correct department.
• Verify and track received inventory, completing inventory reports and logs.
• Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
• Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail.
• Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring the safekeeping of packages.
• Follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations.
• Ship all outgoing mail and packages.
• Verify the quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to guests.
• Communicate with guests regarding received packages and maintain an accurate tracking system for all shipping and receiving transactions, including obtaining guest signatures.
• Communicate with appropriate management regarding any loss or damage to packages.

Operational Duties and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Address guests' service needs professionally, positively, and promptly.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Additional Duties

The Attendant Shipping & Receiving will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
