About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Captain to join its team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves overseeing service operations within banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks, ensuring high standards of presentation and guest satisfaction. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate service requirements to chefs and stewards during functions.
• Calculate charges for group functions and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are prepared for service.
• Verify proper centerpieces are displayed on all tables.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver before use.
• Engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.

Operational Compliance and Guest Relations

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

Team Collaboration and Physical Requirements

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Support the team in achieving common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods as required by the role.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Experience and Work Type

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a similar hospitality service role. This is a full-time position based in Medina.
