Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards are met across guest rooms and public areas. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on maintaining cleanliness, coordinating with various departments, and supporting housekeeping management.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily activities and act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments to staff.
• Communicate outstanding issues to the next shift and complete all required paperwork.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally with others and develop positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to complete safety training and certifications as required.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point of sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and colleagues.
