Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing the quality of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring adherence to established standards, and supporting daily housekeeping operations. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management with daily activities and coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments, and relay issues to the next shift.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.

Operational Support and Team Leadership

• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete necessary safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Guest Services and Professional Conduct

• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, listening and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over various surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems, and visually verify information in various formats.
