About the Role

Acwa Operations is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on supervising electrical maintenance activities within conventional thermal power plants that operate steam turbine generation systems. The role is critical for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical equipment supporting power generation.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for electrical equipment in conventional thermal power plants.
Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of generators, excitation systems, transformers, switchgear, motors, protection relays, and electrical distribution systems.
Support electrical maintenance for steam turbine auxiliaries, boiler-related electrical equipment, and balance-of-plant systems.
Investigate electrical equipment failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
Plan and coordinate annual maintenance outages, electrical inspections, equipment overhauls, and major repair activities.
Monitor electrical equipment performance, analyze maintenance data, and recommend technical improvements to enhance plant efficiency and availability.
Manage maintenance work orders, equipment history, and maintenance schedules using SAP/CMMS.
Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, OEMs, and contractors while supervising electrical maintenance personnel and ensuring compliance with HSSE requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within conventional thermal power plants.

Work Environment

This is a plant-based position located at a conventional thermal power plant in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves participation in planned outages, equipment overhauls, emergency maintenance, and electrical inspections. Adherence to electrical safety, HSSE, and permit-to-work requirements is mandatory.
