Operation Manager

About the Role

ACWA Power is seeking an Operation Manager to lead plant operations and laboratory functions in Rabigh. This full-time role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production, adhering to contractual, quality, and HSE standards. The position requires over 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations, including power generation and/or water production, to achieve production targets.
• Ensure smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operational activities.
• Resolve critical operational issues and minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with plant objectives.
• Lead production planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
• Report operational performance, risks, and improvements to senior management.
• Lead, develop, and manage operations teams ranging from 30 to 100 employees.
• Set clear objectives and drive high performance and engagement within teams.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Support planned outages, ensuring safe shutdown and restart procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE standards.
• Lead incident response, reporting, and corrective action implementation.
• Monitor plant performance to identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements.
• Implement operational improvements and best practices.
• Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Monitor production parameters to maintain optimal performance.
• Manage operational contracts to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
• Oversee the inventory of chemicals, consumables, and equipment.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within a relevant industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large operational teams.
• Strong understanding of production targets, quality, and HSE standards.

Work Environment

This role is based in Rabigh and operates on a full-time basis, requiring active leadership within the plant environment.
