About the Role

Innovation Consulting Group (ICG), a partner to leading organizations across the Kingdom, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join its Riyadh office. This full-time role is central to supporting ICG’s financial operations, reporting, accounting controls, invoicing, collections, and financial compliance. The successful candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and will work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, and executive leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial management.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a comprehensive range of financial activities, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of ICG's financial processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting transactions and financial records.
  • Recording and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Maintaining accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
  • Preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
  • Preparing and issuing client invoices in accordance with contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and outstanding balances, and coordinating with internal teams and clients regarding invoice status and payment requirements.
  • Supporting collections and maintaining accurate receivables reporting.
  • Processing supplier and partner invoices, verifying supporting documentation, and maintaining vendor accounts and payment records.
  • Coordinating with procurement and operations to ensure proper approval and documentation for payables.
  • Performing supplier account reconciliations.
  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
  • Preparing financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, and management information.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and identifying discrepancies to support corrective actions.
  • Supporting VAT accounting, documentation, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Ensuring financial records comply with applicable Saudi regulations and accounting standards.
  • Maintaining organized documentation for audits and regulatory requirements, and supporting external and internal audit activities.
  • Maintaining strong accounting controls and financial documentation, and monitoring transactions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approvals.
  • Supporting improvements to accounting processes and financial reporting systems.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial and corporate information.

Collaboration and Financial Oversight

This role requires close collaboration with various internal departments, including Finance, Operations, Sales, and Procurement, as well as executive leadership. The Accountant will play a crucial part in maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and accounting standards, and supporting both internal and external audit processes. The position contributes directly to the accuracy and timeliness of ICG's overall financial management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should demonstrate a strong background in accounting and financial management. Required qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a dynamic organizational setting.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day accounting transactions, financial records, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Saudi financial regulations and accounting standards, including VAT compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
