Civil Senior Engineer

About the Role

AREEB is seeking a Civil Senior Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires an experienced professional to lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring all specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate civil engineering components into overall project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality benchmarks throughout project phases.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, verify work quality, and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, plans, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to implementation.
• Evaluate design alternatives and recommend cost-effective, high-performance, and constructible solutions.
• Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, project timelines, and safety requirements.
• Manage and coordinate site teams to optimize resource allocation, minimize delays, and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and safety are not compromised.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, and safety standards throughout project execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and feasibility analyses to identify potential challenges and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality objectives.
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and scope variations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience in stadium projects is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, overseeing technical aspects of design and construction, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Additional certifications in project management, safety management (*, NEBOSH, OSHA), or quality control (*, Six Sigma) are beneficial.
