CONSULTANT BREAST AND ENDOCRINE SURGERY

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking a Consultant, Breast and Endocrine Surgery. This full-time role involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions within the Breast & Endocrine Surgery specialty, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care in accordance with hospital policies and regulations. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of General Breast & Endocrine Surgery, aligned with approved clinical privileges.
• Offer timely consultation services for inpatients and emergency room cases as per hospital policy.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, ensuring availability and response within prescribed timeframes.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.

Academic Contributions

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in departmental educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and fulfill continuing education requirements.

Research Engagement

• Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with Research Advisory Council Policy.
• Contribute to advancing knowledge, improving postgraduate education quality, and enhancing KFSH & RC's national and international recognition.

Administrative Duties

• Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participate in mandatory departmental activities and serve on departmental and hospital committees.
• Assist in developing and implementing techniques to maximize resource utilization within the department and hospital.
• Adhere to current hospital and medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies, staying updated on any changes.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Consultant position should possess 5-10 years of experience in Breast and Endocrine Surgery. The role requires adherence to the medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
