The Opportunity: Electrical Engineer

KEO International Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and compliance of electrical systems for various projects. The position requires a professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and practical experience in project execution and site supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and other relevant electrical installations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations in the project's country.
  • Coordinate with national utility providers (electricity, water, gas, etc.) to ensure smooth and timely connections, including reviewing procedures and ensuring compliance.
  • Review and approve electrical shop drawings and material submittals from contractors and subcontractors to meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of electrical works and ensure adherence to approved plans and schedules.
  • Inspect and test electrical installations at various stages of construction, including wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, and grounding systems.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical-related issues or defects that arise during construction, coordinating with contractors for rectification.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of all electrical inspections, tests, and non-conformances.
  • Ensure the safety of all electrical work on site by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and addressing identified hazards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team on electrical matters, including answering technical questions, resolving design conflicts, and assisting with the interpretation of electrical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
