About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an Excellence Director to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position provides senior-level management, strategic, and supervisory responsibilities for excellence activities within a major program.

Role Purpose and Context

The Excellence Director is responsible for overseeing and strategically leading all excellence activities, including quality assurance, continuous improvement initiatives, risk management, training programs, and knowledge transfer for a significant program. The primary objective is to ensure that all delivered products and services consistently meet both customer and Parsons' excellence requirements. This role involves providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of robust Quality systems, procedures, and related excellence frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the interview and selection process, including hiring recommendations and staffing assignments, in alignment with departmental requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and make appropriate recommendations for required actions, including advancements, changes in status, or disciplinary actions.
  • Manage the salary administration process, including preparing the annual salary plan and recommending salary actions for merit increases and/or promotions.
  • Provide Quality Systems leadership, utilizing the Parsons Quality Management System (QMS) as the basis for process development and optimization, procedure development, data collection and reporting, and QMS training.
  • Direct and facilitate efforts to maintain Parsons' Excellence-related certifications.
  • Interface at senior and executive levels regarding performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Excellence representatives in each business unit to facilitate Quality and Risk training programs, achieve current objectives, set future objectives, and coordinate input and output from Management Reviews.
  • Direct and facilitate the continuous improvement of the program's Quality Management System and foster a culture of Quality at Parsons.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to both Parsons and Client personnel; monitor performance, and identify skills, training, and capabilities needed for business activities across disciplines.
  • Act as a liaison with programs/projects, customers, contractors, and/or internal departments on quality-related matters and staffing.
  • Guide and advance the overall performance of quality across Parsons.
  • Identify and report excellence issues or trends to executive management, based on data from various sources.
  • Provide input to management on organizational performance metrics and improvements to processes or procedural systems.

Required Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in excellence activities, quality management, continuous improvement, risk management, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated senior-level management, strategic, and supervisory capabilities.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing Quality systems and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and train personnel effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with executive and senior-level stakeholders.

Reporting Structure and Interactions

The Excellence Director will report directly to the Vice President, Quality, and Executive Management. This role involves direct supervision of Quality, Risk, and Training Personnel. Internal contacts will include all employees on projects and within Corporate functions, while external interactions will involve customer personnel.
