The Role of a General Practitioner

My Clinic is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages across a wide range of medical conditions. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic illnesses, providing preventive care, and coordinating patient referrals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough medical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing, to evaluate patients' health status and diagnose medical conditions.
• Performing regular health screenings and medical examinations to detect early signs of work-related illnesses.
• Monitoring the health status of employees, particularly those exposed to occupational hazards.
• Delivering health protection training sessions and educating employees on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing occupational diseases.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Formulating differential diagnoses, developing treatment plans, and initiating appropriate interventions based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelines.
• Providing medical treatment and management for a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, including respiratory infections, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and musculoskeletal disorders.
• Prescribing medications, administering injections, performing minor surgical procedures, and providing other medical interventions.
• Managing the care of patients with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, COPD, arthritis, and heart disease through ongoing monitoring, medication management, and lifestyle counseling.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Providing urgent medical care and triage services for patients presenting with acute injuries, illnesses, or medical emergencies, including trauma, chest pain, and respiratory distress.
• Stabilizing patients in emergency situations, initiating resuscitative measures, and arranging for transfer to higher levels of care as needed.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records in electronic health records (EHR) or medical charts.
• Performing other assigned medical and professional duties.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in general medical practice.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a multispecialty outpatient care setting.
