The Role of a Liabilities Specialist

CodeNinja Inc. is seeking a Liabilities Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The specialist will serve as a subject matter expert, supporting CASA/deposit propositions for a banking client in KSA. This role involves owning the pricing strategy, portfolio performance, customer acquisition and retention, and end-to-end product lifecycle activities for retail liability products.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CASA/deposit product propositions, from initial design through go-to-market execution.
• Own the pricing strategy and conduct cost of funds analysis for retail liability products.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, including tracking key liability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies specifically for deposit products.
• Manage all product lifecycle activities, including enhancements, repricing, and sunset/migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with product, pricing, and treasury teams to optimize the deposit mix.
• Support the development of Sharia-compliant deposit structures where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Strong practical experience in consumer deposits and CASA (Current Account Savings Account) products.
• Solid understanding of pricing strategy and cost of funds principles.
• Hands-on experience with portfolio analytics and performance tracking.
• Demonstrated experience within a retail banking liabilities environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Sharia-compliant deposit structures.
• Exposure to the KSA or GCC retail banking market.
• Experience working with treasury or ALM (Asset and Liability Management) teams on liability pricing.
