The Role of Mobile Lead

Uxbert Labs is seeking an experienced Mobile Lead to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is for a professional dedicated to driving significant impact and transforming digital experiences through innovative mobile solutions. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in mobile application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive mobile development efforts for both iOS and Android platforms, primarily utilizing React Native.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of app releases, including staging, TestFlight, and App Store management, demonstrating a thorough understanding of app store complexities.
• Integrate and lead the implementation of mobile SDKs and advanced mobile architectures.
• Ensure the delivery of complex, pixel-perfect designs, mastering high-resolution videos, SVG animations with parallax, and multiple interactive components, adhering to OpenGL and FWA Awards standard designs.
• Conduct rigorous cross-browser and cross-device testing, leveraging tools such as ChromeDev Tools and physical device unit testing.
• Address and resolve complex mobile engineering challenges.
• Lead state, session, API, and memory management to optimize performance and facilitate SDK integration with tools like OneSignal, AppsFlyer, GA, Firebase, and Monetate.
• Present technical information and articulate timelines and deadlines clearly to engineering teams.
• Commit to operational excellence within SDLC and AILC, with awareness of CAB, ITSM, and project management methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
• Architect scalable mobile solutions and enforce high standards for code quality and testing.
• Collaborate effectively with design, backend, and AI teams to integrate new features.
• Guide the mobile team through agile sprints, reviews, and release cycles.
• Architect complex, memory-intensive large-scale routing applications, understanding routing and memory handling, and implementing notifications, subscriptions, and microservices for replication across applications.
• Apply expertise in white label and reusable component architecture for mobile applications.
• Ensure optimal performance, offline capabilities, and seamless user experiences.
• Lead mobile teams in implementing SSO, security, device mobile testing, unit testing, and Sentry, specifically for Saudi Royal and Saudi Government applications.
• Possess Claude certification and be proficient in co-working strategies to empower teams in building agentic and vibe coding mobile applications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mobile app development, with at least 10 years specifically in React Native.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing modern design and development tools such as Claude Design and Figma AI.
• Expertise in solid mobile development across end-to-end iOS and Android platforms, including a proven track record of launching complex and high-performance applications to app stores.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, ****, and mobile architecture, coupled with robust native experience and device cross-testing capabilities.
• Experience with monetary aspects of mobile applications, such as RevenueCat and In-App Subscriptions.
• Solid APM diagnosis skills using tools like Sentry, Firebase, Splunk, New Relic, or Datadog, with an understanding of complex memory and app API complexities in large-scale applications.
• Experience with OTA updates, mobile CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive release management.
• Excellent understanding of mobile UX/UI principles and app store submission requirements.
• A strong understanding of app store policies and laws specific to the Middle East region, pertaining to app release and management.

Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge of Flutter.
• Experience in native app development.
• Proficiency in LLM and AI mobile application development.

Leadership and Team Management

The Mobile Lead will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, managing remote and cross-functional teams effectively. This includes the ability to manage a dedicated team, report weekly to the Head of Engineering, and contribute significantly to the overall Engineering framework and architecture while leading the Mobile Engineering team.
