About the Opportunity
The National Medical Care Company (Care) is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Riyadh. This contract role is essential for ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service within our home health care services. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a commitment to patient well-being and efficient administrative processes.
Role Purpose and Impact
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing prompt and accurate service to home health care patients. This involves direct contact with patients to gather necessary data for registration and admission into the HIS system, alongside coordinating with various departments. Your actions will directly and indirectly contribute to a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for every patient served.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the provision of superior quality medical treatment, compassion, and understanding to all patients.
- Conduct treatment and programs utilizing various modalities and methods to improve patient well-being.
- Register home health care patient information completely, accurately, and timely in both English and Arabic within the HIS system.
- Verify home health care patient identity before creating patient files, requesting medical records, and issuing invoices.
- Manage patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes in HIS for home care registration, as assigned.
- Secure pre-approval and cash deposits for elective home procedures.
- Collect and submit cash to the general cashier daily or at the end of the work shift.
- Coordinate with claims and billing departments to streamline administrative processes and prevent financial discrepancies.
- Schedule appointments for follow-up visits and provide non-medical instructions as needed.
- Handle telephone inquiries and interact effectively with customers.
- Maintain patient information confidentiality and uphold Patient Rights.
- Enhance patient experience through customer care, respect, compassion, and dignity.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Home Health Care Department, its staff, patients, and visitors.
- Coordinate with Department Heads and Supervisors regarding patient services issues and concerns.
- Offer support and assistance to patients with inquiries and complaints.
- Maintain an organized filing system for quick and easy access to documents.
- Meet current objectives, complete daily tasks, process large volumes of work, and contribute to organizational growth.
- Meet and exceed expectations of internal and external customers, adhering to all organizational and departmental quality standards.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement programs as directed.
- Build positive relationships based on respect, demonstrating a helpful and positive attitude, and maintaining effective communication with peers, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure the movement team is prepared.
- Comply with the Home Health Care dress code.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Department Head or Manager.
Required Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a related patient care or administrative coordination role.
- Proficiency in data entry and system navigation, specifically with HIS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and departmental interaction.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic for accurate patient registration and communication.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Work Environment and Contract Details
This position is based in Riyadh and operates within a dynamic home health care setting. The role is offered on a contract basis, requiring a professional who can adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care and administrative efficiency.
