About the Role

The National Medical Care Company (Care) is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Coordinator to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for every patient across NMC Hospitals and Clinics. The Coordinator provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Patient Services Department, its staff, patients, and visitors, contributing directly and indirectly to the overall patient experience.

Patient Registration and Financial Coordination

  • Register patient information accurately and completely in both English and Arabic within the HIS system.
  • Verify patient identity before creating files, processing medical record requests, and issuing invoices.
  • Manage patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes in HIS, particularly for ADT/ER Registration assignments.
  • Secure necessary pre-approvals and cash deposits prior to elective procedures or admissions.
  • Collect and submit cash to the general cashier daily or at the end of each work shift.
  • Coordinate effectively with claims and billing departments to streamline administrative processes and prevent financial discrepancies.

Patient Support and Communication

  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide non-medical instructions as required.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and interact professionally with patients and customers.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to patients with inquiries or complaints.
  • Enhance the patient experience through exceptional customer care, respect, compassion, and dignity.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and uphold patient rights.
  • Coordinate with Department Heads and Supervisors regarding patient services issues and concerns.

Operational and Administrative Duties

  • Maintain an organized filing system for quick and easy access to documents.
  • Complete daily tasks and assignments efficiently, managing large volumes of work associated with departmental operations.
  • Ensure all organizational and departmental standards for quality of performance are consistently met.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs as directed by management.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Department Head or Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Diploma or College graduate.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position, with a preference for experience gained within a healthcare facility.
