About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Physical Therapy Resident. This full-time position involves planning and administering physical therapy programs to patients, focusing on restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing disability. The resident will be responsible for rehabilitating patients within the established scope of the physical therapy program.

Role Summary

The Physical Therapy Resident will assess patients' functional levels, establish treatment goals, and implement appropriate physical therapy procedures. This role requires close collaboration with physicians and other medical personnel to ensure comprehensive patient care and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine their level of function.
• Establish treatment goals and administer appropriate physical therapy procedures.
• Observe unusual reactions, document treatments and patient progress, and inform supervisors of relevant patient information.
• Liaise with physicians regarding patient progress and modify treatment goals as needed.
• Teach and demonstrate physical therapy programs to patients and family members, and provide information about therapy procedures to nurses and new employees.
• Assist Senior Physical Therapists with protocol development in assigned areas.
• Participate in conferences with physicians, nurses, and allied medical personnel concerning physical, emotional, and socio-economic problems affecting patient health and welfare.
• Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to the Service Supervisor.
• Participate in relevant committees (*, morbidity/mortality, patient safety, quality, infection control, medication safety, research), as applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 0-1 years in a relevant field.
