Project Engineer Electrical (Substation)

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the execution and supervision of 380kV substation projects and associated electrical/civil works, ensuring adherence to project specifications, SEC standards, safety protocols, quality requirements, and approved schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day site execution of 380kV BSP/substation projects.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering teams, construction personnel, subcontractors, and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) representatives.
• Ensure all work is executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, including manpower allocation, material usage, and overall site resource management.
• Ensure timely inspection, testing, documentation, and closure of all site activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues that arise during project execution.
• Maintain continuous compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and SEC requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Technology (** or Bachelor of Engineering ( in Electrical Engineering.
• 10-15 years of relevant project execution experience.
• Demonstrated experience in 380kV BSP/substation projects is essential.
• SEC approval is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of SEC standards, project execution methodologies, site coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Understanding of substation construction practices, particularly for High Voltage (HV) substations.
• Proficiency in quality and safety management systems.
• Effective stakeholder management skills, including interaction with SEC, consultants, and contractors.
• Competence in planning, scheduling, and execution of complex projects.
• Ability to thrive and perform effectively in a multicultural and challenging work environment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and coordination for project execution.
