OHC | العمر القابضة is a Saudi construction company specializing in residential, commercial, and multi-storey building projects. We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our Projects Department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction works adhere to approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, Saudi Building Code standards, and OHC quality protocols. This role involves overseeing site inspections, material approvals, testing, non-conformance management, and quality reporting. The engineer will coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to minimize rework and enhance project delivery quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Management: Implement OHC's Quality Management System, prepare and monitor the Project Quality Plan, and prepare/review Method Statements and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Site Inspections and Quality Control: Conduct daily inspections and quality walkthroughs, verify compliance with approved documents, raise and track Inspection Requests, and attend inspections with stakeholders.
• Monitor field and laboratory test results, ensure material approval before use, and inspect structural, architectural, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP works.
• Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and coordinate with teams to close observations.
• Identify recurring quality issues, recommend preventive measures, and request rework for non-compliant works.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports, maintain inspection records, quality logs, material approvals, test reports, and NCR registers.
• Track inspection outcomes, consultant comments, and corrective-action closures, and prepare quality KPI reports.
• Coordination: Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Technical Office, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and approved laboratories.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with OHC quality procedures and support project teams in resolving quality issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a QA/QC role within construction.
• Experience coordinating inspections with consultants.
• Proficiency in reviewing material submittals, technical approvals, test reports, and inspection requests.
• Demonstrated experience in issuing, managing, and closing NCRs, CAPA, and inspection requests.
• Proven ability to reduce rework and improve first-pass inspection outcomes.
• Experience preparing weekly and monthly quality reports.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System principles.
• Practical experience preparing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and preventive quality actions.
• Ability to maintain quality records, inspection logs, and project quality documentation.

Work Environment and Requirements

• The role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• The position requires regular site inspections, walking construction sites, accessing different work areas, and working in an active construction environment.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
• Availability to join within 30 days or less is preferred.
