About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Riyadh is seeking a Regulatory Communications Advisor for a full-time position. This role is intended for experienced professionals capable of performing work under general and key guidance. The primary focus involves analyzing and resolving complex challenges, addressing issues escalated from less experienced levels, and developing effective solutions within the regulatory and compliance framework.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advise and support functional departments on governance and compliance topics, offering professional opinions on relevant initiatives and projects.
  • Review and analyze requests and inquiries concerning governance and compliance, coordinating with relevant authorities for appropriate action or follow-up.
  • Contribute to the drafting and review of responses and correspondence on regulatory and supervisory matters, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documents related to governance and compliance, providing recommendations to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and correctness in work execution.

Governance and Compliance Leadership

  • Lead and develop governance and compliance initiatives that have an institutional impact.
  • Oversee the provision of specialized consultancy for complex regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of frameworks, procedures, and initiatives to strengthen the Authority's governance and compliance system.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and best practices in governance and compliance, proposing improvements to existing procedures and practices.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of governance training programs, coordinating with concerned authorities to achieve objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement and Awareness

  • Promote stakeholder alignment on governance and compliance matters.
  • Lead awareness and capacity-building programs aimed at increasing compliance and improving governance practices across the entity.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory and supervisory requirements and facilitate information exchange.
  • Prepare, develop, and review awareness and training materials on governance and compliance, ensuring alignment with approved policies.
  • Implement and support initiatives and programs designed to foster a culture of governance and commitment, enhancing employee awareness and knowledge.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings and workshops with relevant departments and sectors to discuss governance and compliance topics.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the field.

Team Support and Development

  • Assist in resolving escalated issues and provide essential support to less experienced teams to ensure efficient work execution.
  • Escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely and correct resolution.
  • Train less experienced staff on various job activities to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Provide clear directions, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibilities, and monitor the workflow of less experienced subordinates.
