Resident Engineer

About the Role

Linnk Group is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on providing customer-facing technical support, troubleshooting, and network design guidance within large-scale Service Provider networking environments, with a strong emphasis on Juniper Networks expertise. The Resident Engineer will support both production and pre-production network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational and post-sales support for Juniper network environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across large-scale IP/MPLS networks and manage JTAC cases through resolution.
• Support critical incidents, network upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
• Offer guidance on network architecture, capacity planning, technology adoption, and best practices.
• Conduct technical workshops and provide training to engineering and operations teams.
• Perform network health assessments, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
• Review and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method of Procedures (MOPs), supporting release management, PBN, and SIRT activities.
• Execute lab testing, Design Verification Testing (DVT), certification, and integration of new hardware/software releases.
• Develop Python/PyEZ automation for configuration validation, health checks, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.
• Support traffic engineering and traffic steering using Paragon/JRD.
• Maintain strong communication with customer engineering, operations, and leadership teams.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in network engineering roles.
• Demonstrated expertise with Juniper Networks technologies is essential.
• Experience working within large-scale Service Provider networking environments is required.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Juniper Networks products and solutions.
• Strong understanding of IP/MPLS networks.
• Experience with Python/PyEZ for network automation.
• Familiarity with Paragon/JRD for traffic engineering.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working directly with customer engineering, operations, and leadership teams, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.
