The Role of Sales Engineer II – Lighting Solutions

ViaLighting is seeking a Sales Engineer II – Lighting Solutions to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, providing technical and value-engineered lighting solutions, and managing client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The Sales Engineer II will support the sales team by managing project data and ensuring information flow, with comprehensive training and mentorship provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify new leads through field visits, outreach to contractors and consultants, and monitoring project tracking platforms.
  • Conduct detailed site visits to assess project scope, client requirements, and site conditions accurately.
  • Develop and maintain a robust project pipeline, tracking progress and converting qualified leads into sales opportunities.
  • Analyze client specifications, project budgets, and design intent to propose compliant and competitive lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate with Estimation and Design teams to develop lighting designs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quotations, and technical submittals.
  • Prepare quotations and technical submittals independently for small-scale or urgent projects.
  • Conduct value engineering analysis by recommending alternative products that meet or exceed specifications, performance standards, and cost expectations.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and participate in commercial negotiations under senior guidance.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely order processing, delivery, and material availability.
  • Facilitate mock-ups, testing, and site supervision activities in coordination with technical teams.
  • Follow up with the accounting team on invoicing and support payment collection for assigned projects.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, including contractors, consultants, and designers.
  • Ensure professional communication to resolve technical or supply-related issues.

Required Experience
