About the Role

Aljeel Medical is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Demand Planning Specialist to join its Supply Chain Department. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and plays a critical role in ensuring product availability and optimizing inventory management.

Role Overview

The Senior Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving accurate demand forecasts across various product levels. This involves detailed analysis of market dynamics and close collaboration with internal teams to align demand assumptions and support informed business decisions within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts at SKU, category, and brand levels.
  • Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and customer behavior to develop accurate demand plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and stock-outs.
  • Provide regular forecast accuracy reports and 12-month forecasts for key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align demand assumptions.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings and present forecast insights.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for shortages, overstock, and forecast variances.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Support process optimization, automation, and simplification initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Sales and suppliers regarding new item introductions and phase-out activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Supply Planning, preferably within the Medical, Pharmaceutical, or FMCG distribution sector.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of planning frameworks and statistical forecasting methods, including Consensus Forecasting, WAPE/MAPEX, and BIAS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and attention to detail.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role requires an individual who can contribute effectively to a dynamic supply chain environment and collaborate across various departments to achieve operational excellence.
