About Taib and the Role

Taib, a leading CBAHI-accredited home healthcare company established in Saudi Arabia in 2018, is seeking a Senior Registrar Internal Medicine for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves providing comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients receiving home healthcare services. The focus is on delivering preventive, acute, and chronic care, with an emphasis on managing complex medical conditions, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary healthcare services.

The Senior Registrar plays a crucial role in improving patient outcomes, reducing avoidable hospital admissions, and promoting continuity of care through evidence-based medical practice and proactive disease management. The position requires strong clinical judgment in managing complex cases and effective coordination with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Patient Care and Clinical Management

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments during home visits and virtual consultations.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic Internal Medicine conditions, including complex and high-risk patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, hospital referrals, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and exercise advanced clinical judgment in complex medical cases.
  • Escalate care appropriately when consultant input or a higher level of care is required, coordinating referrals and consultations with specialists.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education regarding medical conditions and treatment plans, utilizing telehealth platforms for virtual consultations and education.
  • Apply patient safety principles and clinical risk management practices, identifying and reporting safety risks and adverse events.
  • Provide compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered medical care, addressing patient concerns promptly.

Quality Assurance and Documentation

  • Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, clinical governance frameworks, and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Utilize Health Information Systems (HIS), electronic health records, and telemedicine platforms effectively.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with Ministry of Health requirements and organizational standards.

Collaboration and Professional Growth

  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to promote teamwork and continuity of care.
  • Facilitate effective communication regarding patient status, needs, referrals, and care plans across the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME), workshops, conferences, and clinical training programs.
  • Share clinical knowledge and best practices with multidisciplinary team members and support clinical education for medical staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Internal Medicine, home healthcare, population health, and evidence-based clinical practice.

Candidate Profile and Key Performance Indicators

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Internal Medicine. Success in this role will be measured by:
