The Role of Sr. Merchandiser

As a Sr. Merchandiser based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position is a key part of the sales team. The primary objective is to maximize PepsiCo's on-shelf presence in all assigned outlets. The role also involves conducting in-store sampling sessions and promotions when required, ensuring adherence to planograms for both on and off-shelf displays. Any non-compliance with agreed arrangements must be reported promptly to the pre-seller.

Key Responsibilities

• Call on specific OT outlets according to the daily journey plan provided by the supervisor.
• Merchandise SSFL products within OT stores across various access points, including shelves, stands, and floor displays.
• Place Point of Sale (POS) material next to SSFL displays where applicable.
• Ensure all access points are merchandised in line with approved planograms.
• Rotate products using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method and remove sub-standard products.
• Maintain clean and fresh stock of SSF products on the shelf at all times.
• Monitor and report competitive activities in the market.
• Report any deviations from agreed terms with assigned OT customers or outlets.
• Report prior day's activities to the supervisor daily.
• Participate in sampling and redemption campaigns as required.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance and behavior consistent with the Frito Lay code of conduct.

Market Intelligence and Reporting

In addition to merchandising duties, the Sr. Merchandiser is responsible for supplying the pre-seller with the latest market information. This intelligence is crucial for identifying and leveraging selling opportunities effectively.
