Strategy Manager

About the Role

Gathern is seeking a Strategy Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the company's strategic planning and performance cycle from end to end. The Strategy Manager will ensure that leadership decisions are based on current, reconciled, and traceable data, supporting informed strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Gathern's strategic planning and performance cycle, including the North Star driver model, OKR and initiative portfolio planning, and executive and board reporting.
• Maintain planning and analysis for key metrics such as revenue, reservations, ARPR, SCR, ADR, LOS, and take rate.
• Reconcile targets, actuals, and variances on a monthly basis.
• Conduct diagnostic analysis to attribute revenue and reservation gaps to primary and supporting drivers, translating attributions into actionable items with assigned owners and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain scenario and sensitivity models for pricing, segmentation, and destination planning.
• Support annual and quarterly planning cycles, including target setting and monthly ramp-up.

Performance Management

• Own the OKR planning process, encompassing objectives, key results, initiative cards, scoring, and milestone tracking.
• Execute the monthly performance cycle, including data cut-off, variance review, commentary drafting, and publication according to a fixed calendar.
• Ensure all commitments and initiatives translate into the required performance outcomes.
• Maintain the metric definitions library and enforce consistency across all published reports.

Executive and Board Reporting

• Produce monthly executive reports, quarterly one-pagers, and board materials to a consistent standard, ensuring clear action titles, concise commentary, and internally consistent metrics.
• Prepare pre-reads and decision papers for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
• Act as the quality gate for all numerical data leaving the department, ensuring every figure can be traced to a source and a definition.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage strategic planning and performance cycles.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in metric analysis, variance reconciliation, and diagnostic reporting.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining scenario and sensitivity models.
• Experience in OKR planning and performance management.
• Ability to produce high-quality executive and board-level reports.
