Strategy Manager

About the Role

Gathern is seeking a Strategy Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves owning the strategic planning and performance cycle from end to end, ensuring that leadership decisions are based on current, reconciled, and traceable data. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The Strategy Manager will be responsible for Gathern’s strategic planning and performance framework. This includes developing the North Star driver model, managing the OKR and initiative portfolio planning, and preparing executive and board reporting. The core purpose is to provide leadership with accurate, reconciled, and traceable data to support informed decision-making.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Maintain planning and analysis for key metrics including revenue, reservations, ARPR, SCR, ADR, LOS, and take rate.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of targets, actuals, and variances.
• Conduct diagnostic analysis to attribute revenue and reservation gaps to primary and supporting drivers, translating attribution into named actions with owners and dates.
• Build and maintain scenario and sensitivity models for pricing, segmentation, and destination planning.
• Support the annual and quarterly planning cycle, including target setting and monthly ramp.
• Own OKR planning, including objectives, key results, initiative cards, scoring, and milestone tracking.
• Manage the monthly performance cycle, data cut-off, variance review, commentary drafting, and publication according to a fixed calendar.
• Ensure all commitments and initiatives translate into required performance outcomes.
• Maintain the metric definitions library and enforce definition consistency across all published reports.
• Produce monthly executive reports, quarterly one-pagers, and board materials to a consistent standard, including action titles, commentary, and internally consistent metrics.
• Prepare pre-reads and decision papers for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
• Act as the quality gate for all numbers leaving the department, ensuring every published figure is traceable to a source and definition.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a strategic planning or performance management role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage strategic planning and performance cycles end-to-end.
• Proficiency in maintaining and reconciling key business metrics.
• Experience in developing and maintaining scenario and sensitivity models.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to attribute performance gaps to specific drivers.
