ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST OBSTETRICS / GYNECOLOGY ULTRASOUND SERVICES REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist, Obstetrics/Gynecology Ultrasound Services - Reproductive Medicine. This full-time role involves performing high-standard ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and ultrasound assessments within the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Review exam orders, requisitions, and corresponding protocols, consulting superiors as needed to prepare for exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and instruct them on required positions.
• Assist patients in assuming the correct position for examinations.
• Select appropriate techniques to obtain optimal images based on depth of field and area of interest.
• Communicate with obstetric consultants regarding abnormal findings when necessary.
• Document all performed studies via the viewpoint program, ensuring recorded images are forwarded in the correct format to primatologists or reproductive medicine consultants.
• Clean equipment and examination rooms after each patient.
• Perform routine weekly maintenance for ultrasound machines in compliance with OB/GYN ultrasound policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with biomedical engineering for all equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate with IT and/or the head of primatology to ensure proper functioning of the viewpoint system.
• Report any operational problems to the ultrasound director.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education programs.
• Document and record all abnormality cases, presenting them weekly to all sonographers during personal rotation.
• Adhere to all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Contribute to self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
• Current registration from the country of origin is mandatory.
• Current registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is also required.
