As the Human Resource Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing the workplace culture of our hospitality operation. You will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will collaborate with department leaders to ensure that HR strategies align with business objectives and support the overall success of the property. Your leadership in fostering a positive work environment and supporting team members' development will be essential in delivering an exceptional experience for both guests and team members.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process for all positions, ensuring the attraction and selection of qualified, diverse, and motivated team members. Lead the onboarding process to ensure that all new hires are effectively integrated into the organization.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports team member engagement, motivation, and retention. Address concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
  • Training & Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that promote both professional and personal growth for team members.
  • Performance Management: Lead the performance management process, including the setting of objectives and conducting appraisals.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Ensure the competitiveness of the compensation structure and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.
  • Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with all local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Team Member Wellbeing & Support: Implement programs that support the wellbeing of team members.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
  • HR Reporting & Analytics: Oversee the tracking and reporting of key HR metrics.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Succession Planning: Work with senior leadership to identify key roles for succession planning.

Qualifications and Standards
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; additional certifications in HR management or labor law is an asset.
  • Minimum of 510 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve complex employee and organizational issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Understanding of cultural differences for effective management of a diverse workforce.
