About BAE Systems Saudi Arabia

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor, operating under Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. The company is responsible for the maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and for training RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in the safe use of aircraft, equipment, and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and the development of Saudi National capability through partnerships and industrialisation.

The Role of Life Support Superintendent

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Life Support Superintendent to join its team in Taif. This full-time position requires over 10 years of experience and offers a competitive salary. The Superintendent will report to the Head of Fleet Operations and the Typhoon Fleet Operations Manager, ensuring the smooth delivery of the Life Support function in Taif.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, deliver, and manage Forward Operations Life Support capabilities in support of RSAF Typhoon operations across KSA.
  • Ensure adherence to correct engineering practices throughout KSA.
  • Collaborate with the Typhoon Operations Manager/Forward Maintenance Team Leader to manage inputs to TOPR/SAG/SCAR for Forward Operations Engineering and contractual statistics.
  • Produce regular manpower reports and ad-hoc organisational reports as required, highlighting recruitment, RSAF Consolidation, Saudisation, and other related manpower issues.
  • Assist T&E and Life Support in ensuring the programmed delivery of all EIS upgrades are embodied and accepted as agreed with the RSAF customer, liaising with key business partners as necessary.
  • Support UK capability delivery teams with local support, RSAF engagement, and adherence to Salam entry into service (EIS).

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A detailed understanding of authorisations and their control mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in gaining additional authorisations and providing examples of how authorisations affect an individual's organisation.
  • The ability to practically articulate the relationship between authorisations, qualifications, and maintenance tasks.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Taif and involves working within a critical operational support function for the Royal Saudi Air Force.
