Linux Engineer

About the Role

TAGMATIX360 is seeking a highly skilled Linux Engineer to join its team in Thuwal, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for maintaining and optimizing Linux-based systems within a robust infrastructure, ensuring stability and performance.

Role Overview

The Linux Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced support, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing proactive solutions across various Linux environments. This role involves managing the full infrastructure lifecycle, from system hardening to performance optimization and automation, to support critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Linux systems, addressing and resolving complex incidents.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS issues, encompassing boot failures, kernel problems, service disruptions, package management, system upgrades, and migrations.
• Perform operating system patching, vulnerability management, and system hardening procedures.
• Optimize Linux system performance across CPU, memory, storage, and NVIDIA GPU workloads.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools.
• Manage the infrastructure lifecycle leveraging GitLab CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
• Configure and maintain scientific runtime environments.
• Administer Linux agents.
• Support NFS/SMB storage solutions and troubleshoot containerized workloads.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive automation improvements.
• Coordinate with other infrastructure teams for issue resolution beyond the VDI layer.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of experience in Linux system administration, DevOps, or a related engineering role. A proven track record in managing and supporting complex Linux environments is essential.

This is a full-time role based in Thuwal, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, operating within TAGMATIX360's technical team. The role requires collaboration with various infrastructure teams to ensure seamless operations.
