About the Role: Director of Security

Burjline Builders is seeking a Director of Security to lead the security department for a new five-star luxury resort, InterContinental The Red Sea, located on Shura Island in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time leadership position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, colleagues, and resort assets. The Director will establish a secure and tranquil environment consistent with world-class hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures for the entire resort.
  • Lead, manage, and train a high-performing security team, fostering a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and guest service.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments of the property, including guest areas, event spaces, restaurants, and back-of-house operations, to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Manage all security-related incidents, conduct thorough investigations, and produce detailed reports for senior management.
  • Act as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, government agencies, and emergency services.
  • Develop and implement robust crisis management and emergency response plans, ensuring all team members are fully trained.
  • Manage the security department's budget, including forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the resort's full compliance with all local laws and regulations pertaining to safety and security.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience of 5-10 years in a senior security management role, preferably within a five-star hotel or luxury resort environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and developing a significant security team.
  • Extensive knowledge of modern security principles, practices, and technologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and authoritative in high-pressure situations.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based at InterContinental The Red Sea, a new five-star luxury resort on Shura Island, featuring 178 luxury rooms and 32 suites, surrounded by natural lagoons and mangroves. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a secure and tranquil environment for guests and staff within a high-end hospitality setting.
