About the Role

Coastal Contracting Company, a proud subsidiary of Red Sea Global, is seeking a Specialist - Welder to join their team in Umluj. This full-time role involves leading workshop personnel, allocating work, monitoring quality, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The position requires managing the welding team, maintaining material availability, and supporting both operational and administrative functions. It is a hands-on role requiring a strong welding and fabrication background, along with practical knowledge of painting, mechanical repairs, and general plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise daily welding and fabrication workshop activities.
• Lead and manage welding personnel, including task allocation and performance monitoring.
• Ensure all welding is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor and maintain stock of welding consumables and steel materials, coordinating ordering to prevent shortages.
• Inspect welding work for quality assurance and compliance.
• Identify structural damage and recommend appropriate repair methods.
• Train the welding team on welding techniques and machinery, including CNC machines.
• Support documentation, reporting, and coordination between the workshop and office.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve fabrication and welding processes.
• Apply practical knowledge of industrial painting and surface preparation.
• Cover for Supervisors of other teams as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field, with previous experience supervising or leading workshop personnel.
• Strong practical welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to carry out structural repairs and modifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Ability to work effectively from drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
