About KBR Saudi Arabia and the Welder II Role
KBR Saudi Arabia, through its Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) division, delivers holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These solutions encompass world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, and high-end design capabilities. The company is seeking a Welder II to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in welding operations.
Core Function of the Welder II
The primary responsibility of the Welder II is to execute all welding jobs on various kinds of material and material combinations according to specified drawings and quality standards. This role also involves the operation of all machines within the welding shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Welder I, Welder II, and Welder III personnel in performing all types of welding jobs as per welding procedures provided by the supervisor.
- Perform welding activities both in the field and within the plant environment.
- Monitor ongoing welding jobs to ensure adherence to standards and progress.
- Assist in field investigation work to support the failure analysis of welding.
- Log all detailed progress of field work and produce reports for the supervisor.
- Select correct tools and conduct thorough tool inspections prior to use.
Quality and Safety Compliance
- Ensure the completion of all jobs meets specified quality specifications and project schedules.
- Communicate immediately with the supervisor upon job completion.
- Ensure full compliance with all safety procedures during welding jobs.
- Encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions within the workplace.
- Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) procedures both prior to and during work commencement.
- Participate in Tool Box talks before commencing any welding job.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a valid certification issued by a recognized third-party certification body or an accredited Saudi institute, attesting to the individual’s qualifications and competency to perform welding works.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in welding operations.
