Electrical Engineer

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Yanbu, Medina Province. This full-time position requires a professional with a degree in Electrical Engineering and significant experience in electrical projects, particularly in protection relay testing and commissioning. The role focuses on the execution, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical engineering projects, including installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Perform protection relay testing, configuration, and commissioning for GE, ABB, and SEL relay systems.
• Conduct functional testing and verification of protection relay schemes and control circuits.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for protection and electrical control systems.
• Verify relay settings, protection logic, trip circuits, and interlocking functions.
• Support installation, inspection, and commissioning of electrical equipment and protection panels.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and site personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare and review testing reports, commissioning records, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical standards, and site safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical projects, installation, protection relay testing, and commissioning.
• Specialized experience in protection relays from GE, ABB, and SEL.
• Practical experience in project execution, installation activities, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical protection systems.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in protection relay testing and configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis abilities for electrical systems.
• Ability to prepare and review technical documentation and reports.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and site safety procedures.

Work Details

This is a full-time position based in Yanbu, Medina Province. The expected salary for this role is SAR 9,000 per month.
