Lead IT System Analyst

About the Role

Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) is seeking a Lead IT System Analyst to join their team in Yanbu. This full-time role involves providing professional support across various IT programming, application, and operation tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to designing, documenting, and coding program logic, while also offering technical training and guidance to end-users and departmental staff.

Job Scope and Objectives

The Lead IT System Analyst will support the planning, execution, and implementation of IT programs in alignment with organizational strategies and operational priorities. This includes providing enhancements to existing applications and engaging in technical discussions with stakeholders to ensure optimal technical solutions for YASREF. The role also involves offering guidance and solutions for project implementation challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance existing applications, identify areas for modification, and create new routine applications based on customer requirements.
• Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, network distribution software, and computing applications.
• Document current state architecture, design ideal state architecture, and develop plans for deploying new solutions to meet business needs.
• Create and maintain a roadmap for application software development, ensuring prioritization aligns with business requirements.
• Perform complex programming tasks, including designing, documenting, and coding program logic, and provide application support.
• Define system requirements, priorities, and viable alternatives, and coordinate staff efforts for software system management.
• Act as a project lead, direct IT systems analysts, and provide leadership and coordination for assigned projects.
• Develop user documentation, departmental policies, and procedures related to application systems.
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for technology systems and processes, and provide logs and reports for internal investigations.
• Manage escalations, provide Subject Matter Expert support for recurring incidents, and monitor systems for suspicious activity.
• Design and perform application software tests, diagnose performance issues, and correct software defects.
• Conduct horizon scanning to understand external developments and evaluate their potential impact or usefulness to the organization.
• Ensure operational compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory codes.
• Manage workstreams or small projects within transformational change programs, ensuring integration and acceptance of change.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity guidelines and procedures for change control, security, auditing, release, configuration, problem, and incident management.
• Monitor daily operational activities, evaluate overall performance, and provide regular updates to Senior Management.
• Provide end-user training as needed and ensure strict adherence to project delivery timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT system analysis or a related field.
• Demonstrated technical competency in areas such as database design and data dictionary criteria.
• Experience in leading projects and directing IT systems analysts.
• Proficiency in applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
