About the Role

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer Cybersecurity & Networks to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and is central to delivering robust network and cybersecurity solutions for industrial projects.

Role Purpose and Scope

This role is responsible for executing comprehensive network and cybersecurity engineering activities across various industrial projects. Key areas include network architecture, device configuration, system integration, security hardening, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards. The position supports reliable and secure system performance throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, commissioning, and customer handover. The Advanced Project Engineer will also interface directly with customers on specific design details for non-standard solutions and provide technical coaching and mentoring to assistant engineers, fostering knowledge sharing within the discipline team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary prerequisites, including design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, and budget, are in place before commencing work.
• Produce sections of functional and detailed design specifications.
• Execute work assignments in adherence to applicable standards and quality systems, covering implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Coach and support assigned assistant engineers to ensure they meet work requirements.
• Monitor and control the assigned work scope against the project plan.
• Communicate effectively with customers to define and agree upon project requirements.
• Proactively recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
• Share technical knowledge with project teams, supervisors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Report progress, technical problems, and changes to the project lead or principal engineer.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant engineering field, with a strong background in network and cybersecurity for industrial projects. Demonstrated ability in design specification, project execution, customer interaction, and technical mentoring is essential. The role requires a commitment to quality systems and continuous improvement.

Working Environment and Travel

The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, including project leads, principal engineers, and various engineering excellence organizations. External interaction with customers is a key component, particularly for defining project requirements and non-standard solutions. Supervisory responsibilities include guiding assigned assistant engineers. This position requires significant site travel, potentially up to 70% of the time, to manage the technical scope of assigned special designs and functions.
