Advanced Project Engineer Cybersecurity & Networks

About the Role

Honeywell is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer - Cybersecurity & Networks to join its team in Dhahran. This full-time role is responsible for delivering network and cybersecurity engineering activities across industrial projects. The position involves work from network architecture and device configuration to system integration, security hardening, risk assessment, and compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards. The role supports reliable and secure system performance throughout design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and customer handover, and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all required prerequisites, such as design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, and budget, are in place before commencing work.
• Produce sections of functional design specifications.
• Produce sections of detailed design specifications.
• Execute work assignments in accordance with applicable standards and quality systems, including implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Coach and support assigned assistant engineers to ensure they meet work requirements.
• Monitor and control the assigned work scope against the project plan.
• Communicate effectively with customers to fully define and agree on project requirements.
• Proactively recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
• Share technical knowledge with the project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines.
• Report progress, technical problems, and changes to the project lead engineer or principal engineer.

Internal and External Interactions

This role involves direct interaction with customers on specific design details for non-standard solutions. Internally, the position interfaces with the project lead or principal and the project team, including GES, COE, or other Back-office locations, as well as the Engineering Excellence Organization & Discipline Communities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Advanced Project Engineer provides technical coaching and mentoring to assigned assistant engineers and actively shares knowledge with other engineers within the discipline team.

Project Implementation and Travel

This role supports project implementation in line with P&AS objectives, including continuous improvement of margins, customer satisfaction, schedules, working capital, and safety performance. The position is responsible for the technical scope of assigned special designs and functions. Site travel may be required for up to 70% of the time.
