Arabic Multimedia Content Reviewer

About the Role

Welocalize is seeking an Arabic (Saudi Arabia) Multimedia Content Reviewer to join their team. This full-time role involves reviewing and writing linguistic content to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance for users of global multimedia platforms. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Multimedia Content Reviewer will serve as a cultural ambassador for the Arabic (Saudi Arabia) market. This includes producing localized content and identifying potential cultural issues within content types and wording. The reviewer will articulate suggestions to ensure all content is appropriate and relevant for the target market, maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Localize, translate, and adapt content across various categories (*, multimedia, legal, technical, marketing) while adhering to established style guides and guidelines.
• Write new copy for multimedia products, including music, TV, app store applications, video on-demand, and game subscription services.
• Conduct regular linguistic reviews of personal work and content produced by other localization team members.
• Copy-edit and fact-check content to ensure accuracy.
• Perform Localization QA (LQA) testing for content published on live platforms, such as music and app descriptions, marketing materials, and campaigns.
• Conduct market-specific research on local content treatment, product, terminology trends, and best localization practices for the target audience.
• Transcribe spoken content, including lyrics.
• Report on data and assets across a broad scope of media and content types.
• Review linguistic assessments, create training materials and documents for new projects, and ensure localization team counterparts are trained on terminology, style, and best practices.
• Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and emails on content review tasks to calibrate terminology and style, understand trends and market-specific insights, and facilitate translations based on market team needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Native-level proficiency in Arabic (Saudi Arabia).
• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Background in journalism or a similar field.
• Proven creative writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Passion for music, film, and technology.
• Familiarity with iOS and Mac OS devices.
