Attendant Laundry

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Attendant Laundry to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves operating and monitoring laundry machinery, ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all laundered items, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabric types.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles to designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.

• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and recommending improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required (0-1 years of experience).
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None required.

The Attendant Laundry will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
