Role Overview: Bartender

FAENA is seeking a Bartender to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves preparing and serving cocktails, wines, and premium spirits. The Bartender is responsible for delivering a refined and engaging guest experience, utilizing strong mixology skills and product knowledge to create personalized, memorable interactions. Candidates should have 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and service timing.
• Develop signature cocktails and provide tailored beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Deliver warm, engaging, and knowledgeable service during all guest interactions.
• Efficiently set up and close the bar at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and ice in advance to support smooth service operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at the bar.
• Polish and rotate glassware to ensure flawless presentation.
• Inspect and maintain bar tools and equipment for proper functionality.
• Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, ensuring timely restocking and supporting accurate usage records.
• Engage guests with strong product knowledge, offering informed recommendations and upselling premium options.
• Observe guest needs and respond proactively to maintain service flow, handling feedback professionally.
• Collaborate effectively with barbacks, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist team members with restocking and maintaining service areas during peak periods.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members on bar procedures and standards.
• Process payments accurately using the POS system and ensure compliance with all relevant alcohol service regulations.
• Follow safety protocols, including spill management, glass handling, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus, seasonal offerings, and food pairings.
• Contribute ideas for cocktail innovation and seasonal menu development.
• Promote premium products and pairings to enhance guest experience and drive revenue.

Required Experience and Skills

• 0-1 years of experience in a similar bartending role.
• Strong mixology skills and comprehensive product knowledge of cocktails, wines, and premium spirits.
• Ability to deliver refined, engaging, and personalized guest service.
• Proficiency in POS systems and adherence to all relevant alcohol service regulations.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment for this role involves various physical movements throughout service areas. The ability to move safely in uneven terrain or confined spaces is required. This position may involve being active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout the work shift. It is classified as medium work, occasionally exerting up to 20kg of force, frequently 10kg, and constantly up to 5kg when moving objects. Occasionally, lifting and moving up to 15kg may be required.
